According to official statements, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced that he will attend the funeral of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei at the invitation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, leading a high-level delegation, and will be making this presence on behalf of the Pakistani nation.

The Pakistani Prime Minister has emphasized that this visit is being made within the framework of bilateral relations between Islamabad and Tehran and its aim is to express respect and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The report states that the Pakistani delegation will include high-ranking government officials and is scheduled to attend the official funeral ceremony.

This news comes at a time when Iran-Pakistan relations have gained special importance in recent years in political and regional fields.
