Execution of Ta’zir sentence on a person accused of “moral corruption” in Panjshir

Local Taliban officials in Panjshir province announced that a Ta’zir sentence on a person who was convicted of the crime of “moral corruption” was executed in the province today.

According to officials, this sentence was implemented in the courtroom of the Panjshir provincial appeals court within the framework of implementing the provisions of Islamic Sharia law and after going through the judicial and legal procedures.

According to the information provided, the convicted person was a resident of Kapisa province and was punished around 2:00 pm on Monday, 2026-05-18.

In this sentence, the accused was sentenced to 39 lashes and two years of mandatory imprisonment.

In this ceremony, the Governor of Panjshir emphasized the importance of implementing Sharia limits and rulings and asked the judicial and legal institutions to pay more attention to implementing the provisions of Islamic Sharia law.

Local officials also stated that implementing Islamic law can play an effective role in ensuring social security, reducing crime, and creating a healthy society.
