The Taliban’s Minister of Higher Education has issued a new order to the country’s universities to no longer verify students’ academic documents and grades for foreign organizations and countries.
A source in the Ministry of Higher Education in Albania, Nada-Mohammad-Nadeem, has ordered state universities to no longer verify students’ academic documents and grades for foreign institutions and countries.
Universities have also been told not to respond to email requests about graduation, grades, and academic status of students. This decision has raised concerns among Afghan students.
The Taliban-run Ministry of Education has repeatedly interfered in the country’s education system in various ways over the past four years.
