Urgent transfer of a sick child from Kandahar to Kabul by army helicopter; while the humanitarian crisis in two districts of Nuristan is being ignored.

Kabul – A child from Kandahar province who had severe respiratory problems today was urgently transferred to Kabul by a helicopter of the 205th Al-Badr Army Corps due to the lack of adequate medical facilities in that province for immediate treatment.
This transfer operation was carried out by military forces and the child in question was transferred to one of the hospitals in Kabul for specialized care.
However, Mohammad Naeem Ghayur, former head of the intelligence service of the western region of the country, referring to this incident, criticized the dual behavior of the ruling authorities towards the citizens of Afghanistan.
Mr. Ghayur said: Children and women in Kamdish and Bergmatal districts of Nuristan province have been facing a severe shortage of food for nearly two months due to the closure of communication routes by Pakistani forces. Several people, including children and women, have lost their lives due to lack of food and medicine.
He added that the problems of tens of thousands of residents of these two districts are being ignored, while a helicopter operation is being carried out for a child in Kandahar.
According to Mr. Ghayur, the honorable and dignified people of Nuristan, who are from the Nuristani ethnic minority and do not have a sufficient share of political power, are only considered when they fight for the rulers in war and on the front lines; but when they die of hunger and lack of medicine, they are of no value to tribal rulers and mountain fanatics.
He warned that telling the truth about this matter would immediately lead to accusations of ethnic hatred from the “ruling practical fascism” and their fanatical supporters.
This criticism comes amid multiple reports of a serious humanitarian crisis in the Kamdish and Bergmatal districts of Nuristan, where communication routes have been blocked for more than a month and access to food, medicine and basic services has been cut off.
