The Taliban said in a statement on Wednesday that a massive fire in the Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi port in Farah province had been contained with "timely cooperation" from Iran.

Eyewitnesses released videos saying the fire had engulfed parts of the port, showing widespread flames and columns of smoke.

No exact details of the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have been released.
