Baktash Siavash, a former member of the
Afghan parliament from Kabul, announced the establishment of a “sit-in tent to defend the rights of women in the country” in front of the European Parliament.
In a video message, Mr. Siavash said that the establishment of this sit-in tent is the beginning of a continuous campaign to defend the rights of Afghan women.
In a call, he called for solidarity with this campaign and called on the international community to “recognize gender apartheid in Afghanistan and declare the Taliban a terrorist group.”
