Residents of Warduj district sent an audio tape to Kabul Times News saying that three days ago, nomads intensified their attacks on the residents of Barabar and Awar villages, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old child and his sister being injured. According to reports, residents of this village claim that the beating and arrest of a number of residents by gunmen who are close to the Taliban indicate that the incident was a result of the Taliban’s negligence. Due to the inattention of the local administration, the residents of this district are demanding a delegation from Kabul to investigate and handle the incident. Earlier, a number of residents of Badakhshan had clashed with nomads over the attacks, resulting in casualties on both sides.
