Amidst Educational Deprivation: Eight Secret Classes for Girls Active with Support from the Justice-Seeking Women's Movement

Following the exclusion of Afghan girls from formal education, the Justice-Seeking Women's Movement has announced that it is currently running eight secret educational classes for girls across three provinces in Afghanistan.

According to the movement, these classes were established to provide educational opportunities for girls who have been denied access to formal schooling due to the restrictions imposed on girls' education.

The Justice-Seeking Women's Movement emphasized that these classes continue to operate despite challenging security conditions, with the aim of preserving educational access for girls.

Due to security concerns, the movement has refrained from disclosing the exact locations of the classes or the identities of the students and teachers.

The Justice-Seeking Women's Movement also stated that the establishment and expansion of these secret classes are part of its efforts to advocate for the right of Afghan girls to education and to counter their exclusion from schooling.
