Khost; Man kills 22-year-old wife and six-month-old daughter

Local sources in Khost say a man shot and killed his 22-year-old wife and six-month-old daughter on Thursday evening and then fled the scene.

The suspect was arrested by Taliban forces after fleeing, the sources said.

The incident comes amid concerns about rising domestic violence and the killing of women in Afghanistan. No further details have been released about the motive for the killing or the identity of the man arrested.
