Oil and Gas Businessman in Kabul; Taliban Soldier Alleges Shooting

Local sources say that Naqibullah Alikhel, an oil and gas businessman, was shot dead by a Taliban soldier after a clash over a traffic accident in Kabul.

According to sources, the incident took place on Tuesday evening, September 23, in the Zourabad family area, near the Qambar intersection. Sources claim that a Taliban member, after intervening, pulled Alikhel out of the car and shot him with an M4 rifle.

Sources say that the Taliban have called the person accused of the shooting “crazy”; but Taliban officials have not yet officially explained the incident.
